STARTUPS - South Tampa Bay Area
Transportation Partnerships
Established its Internet
Presence on July 1, 2005.
STARTUPS is an area wide business
and transportation partnership –
created in 2004 by the Manatee and
Sarasota Chambers of Commerce –
dedicated to making transportation
safer and more efficient in the
Sarasota-Manatee region.
STARTUPS will identify all sources
of funding options for local
transportation improvements.
STARTUPS will mobilize public and
private support for transportation
projects. STARTUPS will
lobby all governmental entities
(federal, state and local)
regarding new enabling legislation
and funding. STARTUPS will
monitor and provide input to the
Tampa Bay Partnership on
transportation projects and
priorities. And, Promote
public education and awareness on
transportation projects Monitor
and provide leadership to the
Florida Department of
Transportation (FDOT), the
Metropolitan Planning Organization
(MPO), and local governments on
transportation issues.
