  • STARTUPS will support a bill that would provide for indexing the local option gas tax to the CPI.
      

  • STARTUPS will support incentive-based legislation for those counties that have pass the full local option gas tax.  For example making the T.R.I.P. program 75% State and 25% local match for those counties, rather than the current 50%-50% match program for all counties.
      

  • STARTUPS will support adjusting the tolls on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge to be comparable to the tolls on similar facilities within the state of Florida.  STARTUPS will support a bill amending Section 338.165 Florida Statues to include that one quarter (¼) of the Skyway toll revenues collected be used to fund the Tampa Bay Area Regional Transportation Authority (TBARTA.)

  • STARTUPS will support funding to build the Florida High Speed Rail system.
      

  • STARTUPS will support restoration and protection of the State Transportation Trust Fund.
      

  • STARTUPS will support the local option rental car surcharge for regional transportation.
      

  • · STARTUPS will support the practice of utilizing mobility fees as a tool for mitigating transportation impacts.
      

  • · STARTUPS will support the study and evaluation of transportation funding revenues.
      

  • STARTUPS will support legislation to stop red light running.
      

  • STARTUPS will support improvements to ports and other freight movement facilities to take advantage of the Panama Canal expansion.
